Byrdell Sparks uses hand-building techniques to create functional pots, with real leaf and lace imprints, which she sells at local shops, galleries, fairs, and craft shows.  The Stecoah Valley Artisans Gallery is a North Carolina location and the Erwin Apple Festival is a Tennessee festival at which Byrdell's pottery can be purchased.  Her pottery can also be purchased at the gallery she and her husband, Ron, operate at their home and from her website, mudleafpottery.com.

Byrdell also makes Novelty Yarn Necklaces, with and without glass pendants, in many beautiful colors.  The children's necklaces are specially sized to grow with them!  Byrdell and Ron will be in Highlands , N.C. for  the craft show on Memorial Day weekend,  the Labor Day weekend Village Arts & Crafts show, and a show at the Highlands Civic Center the second Saturday in October. Byrdell belongs to the Swain County, N.C. Chamber of Commerce and participates in the Graham County Artisan Drive-About in June and November.
