Todd Toys

Fiber & Wood Toys

Todd Toys are the creation of Martha Enzmann, a community centered artist with a life-long fascination with puppetry and parades.  Martha's current work includes fiber dolls, wood toys, costumes, and puppets.

The dolls and puppets are created by hand needling and wet-felting wool.  The base white wool is from Ranmbouillet sheep raised in Ashe County.  Wooden toys are made from the "scraps" of our furniture business and are locally harvested and processed in our saw mill and shop in Todd.  Todd Toys can be purchased at the Todd Mercantile & Mahal Bakery.
In addition to the toys, Martha also specializes in oversize playfulness, offering for rent or purchase unique giant party decorations (enormous lantern shapes, huge hand printed banners) and parade puppets and paraphenalia.

Martha founded two corporations out of an old school in Todd: elklandartcenter.org, a community non-profit arts organization and Elkland Handwerke (elkland.com), a for-profit furniture and design business.

Todd Toys can be purchased at the Todd Mercantile & Mahal Bakery.
